In the last couple of months, as part of the LEAN process, we have been working on documenting processes and techniques in the workshop to create standard operating procedures. The aim is to retain knowledge and create reference manuals for new staff.
One of the processes we documented this week was how to glue solid timber edge lipping’s onto curved table tops. It can be a very nerve racking and messy job if it’s not planned right, and this set of instructions created by Nigel will form part of our Standard Operating Procedures manual.
We plan to post these onto the blog section of our website as when they are completed for future reference and to share our knowledge.
