A Functional Fusion of Design and Innovation
We are excited to share the story behind our most recent collaboration with award-winning Irish designer Brian Tyrrell of Bear Creations, which has led to the creation of the Bär Modular System. Our shelving and storage solution combines function and style, with a focus on minimalism and versatility, making it ideal for both home and work environments.
Customisable and Flexible
Designed with flexibility in mind, the Bär Modular System can be extended with additional uprights, making it a perfect solution for growing spaces. With clever features like central slots in the shelves for bookend panels and the ability to hang plant holders or lighting, the system offers endless customisation options.
Crafted from solid European oak, with cabinets made from oak-veneered plywood, each component is finished with Rubio Monocoat oil, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood while also ensuring durability.
Showcasing the Bär Modular System
The Bär Modular System made its public debut at the Irish Design Works exhibition in Cork from 9–25 August, followed by a highly successful open house at Bear Creation’s workshop in Wicklow on 13 September. Most recently, we were proud to showcase the system at the Architecture and Building Expo in Dublin on 9–10 October, where it earned a ‘Commended’ recognition in the Interior Product category of the Architects Choice Awards.
It has to be said that the past few months have been a whirlwind of excitement, and we are delighted by the response to the Bär Modular System. Orders are now coming in from across the country, and it’s inspiring for us to see our design being embraced in homes and interior projects nationwide.
We are especially grateful for the overwhelming support from so many of you, including fellow designers and customers alike. Your feedback reinforces our commitment to pushing boundaries in design and creating functional, beautiful pieces that enhance any space.
Stay tuned for more innovative collaborations and exciting projects ahead!
